Voter turnout for this campaign is the most critical factor — in a city with over 4 million voters, less than 400,000 are expected to head to the polls on November 5th. Luckily, RepresentUs members like you can support voter turnout both in person and from home, no matter where you are in the country.
So, what are your next steps?
If you live in New York City, connect with the campaign directly. There are tons of events and actions happening in all five boroughs, and you’ll be connected directly with a campaign organizer. You can sign up to volunteer with Rank The Vote here. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSexY0voMUzgwrgS9BQszZDWbh-T2xalDHgu5wCVxoOgW1HSAg/viewform
If you live near New York City, host a Campaign Caravan during the final four days of the campaign (Nov. 2nd through Nov. 5th). This can either be a carpool or public transportation — there are a ton of efficient ways to get to New York City. If you don’t live near New York City, join the Text Team. We have a goal of sending close to 1 million texts to New York City voters between now and Election Day on November 5th, driving as many voters to the polls as possible to vote Yes on 1. To join the Text Team, sign up for a shift or two here. https://www.mobilize.us/rankthevotenyc/event/140499/
Texting officially starts on Monday, October 21st. If you want to get started early, you can sign up for a shift over the weekend, and we’ll message you as soon as the lists are ready to go! Once you RSVP, look for an email that will explain the easy three-step process to get set up and ready to send texts.
